"My heart broke at the beginning with hearing what had allegedly happened, and the fact that she was in the running for Valedictorian but felt she had to move schools really crushed me. When she moved and found Julian, it healed something in her. He was so patient with her while she worked through things such as her nightmares. I just love watching their story begin and blossom from there! I really enjoyed all of the emotions I could feel while reading this book."

The MC's both have trauma from the past that they are dealing with and just trying to start over. Julian has a 3 year head start on starting over and has kept his heart close to him and hasn't shared it with anyone. Everly's trauma just happened and it was enough to cause her to relocate to start over. When Julian meets Everly he can't keep her out of his mind and she manages to breaks his walls down without even trying.
I actually made our grilled cheese the way Allie makes it in the story. My hubby loved it."
